nginx httpd – pure russian raw power
nginx (pronounced as "engine X") is a lightweight web server/reverse proxy and e-mail (IMAP/POP3) proxy, licensed under a BSD-like license.
It's very fast, light, secure and rock solid in production and common used together with FreeBSD in large scale and high traffic websites.
nginx shows the 3rd largest growth this month, climbing by more than 10% to reach 3.35 million sites. This server now has nearly 1.8% of the worldwide market share - an impressive feat, given that it is the work of just one man, Igor Sysoev.
