Feb. 11 (Bloomberg) -- Intel Corp., the world's largest semiconductor maker, created a test processor capable of performing a trillion calculations a second, billing the thumbnail-sized chip as the first of its kind. Ten years ago, people required 10,000 processors working in a 2,000-square-foot (186-square-meter) computer room to do the same job, Intel Chief Technical Officer Justin Rattner said at a briefing in San Francisco on Feb. 8.
